Twice-imaging Airborne Camera System with Distributed Sensors

چکیده
Digital airborne cameras play a significant role for aerial Photogrammetry development from analog to full-digital age. Because of the gap between digital sensor performance and Photogrammetry request, digital airborne also becomes the bottleneck of full-digital approach. In this paper, we present a design of twice-imaging airborne camera system with distributed sensors based on film camera, and carry out optical experiments to obtain practical images, MTF (Modulation Transfer Function) and the scattering light traced by ZEMAX software. * Corresponding author: [email protected]

Comparing the today’s situation to the last ISPRS congress, where the very first commercial digital large format airborne sensors ADS40 (Leica Geosystems) line scanner and DMC (ZI-Imaging now Intergraph) frame based camera were launched into the market, an increase in number of new digital airborne sensors (some of them already introduced into operational use) is clearly obvious over the last 4...
متن کاملWide-Area Persistent Airborne Video: Architecture and Challenges
The need for persistent video covering large geospatial areas using embedded camera networks and stand-off sensors has increased over the past decade. The availability of inexpensive, compact, light-weight, energy-efficient, high resolution optical sensors and associated digital image processing hardware has led to a new class of airborne surveillance platforms. Traditional tradeoffs posed betw...

This paper documents the status of the actual Phase 1 of the EuroSDR project on “Digital Camera Calibration”. This project was officially installed in October 2003 during the 103 EuroSDR Science and Steering Committee Meetings. Up to now about 35 experts from industry, camera manufacturers, software developers, research and system users already joined this calibration network. Some general rema...

One aspect of the recent paradigm shift in geospatial information sciences is that data acquisition and processing systems have moved away from the single sensor-based model to advanced integrated multisensory systems, which typically include imaging and navigation sensors. Active sensors, such as Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR) and Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar (IFSAR), are rout...
متن کاملAirborne Camera Experiments for Traffic Monitoring
Prediction of traffic, dynamic routing, off board navigation and a standardisation of traffic flow parameters are the cornerstones of modern intelligent transport systems. The development of such systems requires intelligent data acquisition from different sensors and platforms. Due to its spatial and temporal flexibility airborne sensors can provide useful information beside existing systems, ...
